ZEBUTAL
Zebutal is an analgesic, barbiturate, and stimulant combination used to treat tension headaches.
Be careful to follow the directions you were given when you began taking Zebutal. Keep Zebutal out of sunlight and away from moisture. Make sure the medication is out of reach of children. Do not try to make up missed doses of Zebutal. If you accidentally skip a dose, just resume your normal dosing schedule. Do not use Zebutal if you have also used monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the last two weeks. It can trigger a potentially serious reaction. Use care not to combine sedatives, tranquilizers, antihistamines, or sleeping pills with Zebutal. Excessive drowsiness can result. Itís important for your doctor to be familiar with all other medications you use. Do not take any new prescriptions without their understanding. Other products, such as cold and allergy medicine, or products to reduce fever or pain, also contain acetaminophen. Take care not to combine them and take too much acetaminophen. Your doctor must know about all of your medicines.  Some side effects are associate with Zebutal, but they usually go away. They might include dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, or nausea.
